Are you interested in pursuing an academic career?

The Preparing Future Faculty Program is part of a national movement to transform the way graduate students are prepared for their careers as professors. Through workshops, learning communities and for-credit courses, Claremont Graduate University students have the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to teach at a variety of higher education institutions.

Participating in the PFF Practicum will provide students with the following skills:
Create lessons appropriate for their students' intellectual development level
Develop assessment strategies that accurately measures students' learning
Understand the steps necessary in developing a course
Identify educational technology tools that will encourage student learning
Construct examinations that are in alignment with the course's learning goals
Encourage active learning in large lecture courses
Create a learning environment that encourages academic integrity
